Our Location
London Helicopters, Inc. is located at the Naples Municipal Airport in the city of Naples, Florida. It is conveniently located along the Gulf of Mexico, South of Fort Myers Beach and north of Marco Island. Accessibility to the Naples area is provided through Southwest International Airport in Fort Myers which is approximately 40 miles by car.

Flight Training
Training is provided to individuals interested in obtaining a Private Pilot certificate or a Commercial Pilot certificate for career pilots. Flight training is accomplished in an R22 Beta Robinson helicopter. Training is conducted under FAA Regulations Part 141 which requires the highest standards of flight training in the US. Training is conducted at controlled and uncontrolled airports, confined area, and off-airport operations. Emergency operations are continuously practiced to develop a high degree of skill and confidence. Safety is constantly emphasized and students are expected to comply with all school regulations and procedures concerning safety.

Scheduling
Training is scheduled on an individual basis. Students may choose their own scheduling requirements but are expected to schedule at least three sessions per week. Sessions are normally two hours for both ground and flight instruction. All books and materials are provided for the course. The Chief Flight Instructor conducts periodic stage checks to ensure the student is progressing at a normal rate. He is also available at ant time to provide assistance to students having problems with their training.

Enrollment Requirements
Students must be able to read, speak, write and understand English and pass a medical exam appropriate to the course in which they are enrolled. Private pilot applicants must reach 17 years of age and Commercial Pilot and Instructor applicants 18 years of age prior to completion of the course.

Our Facilities
London Helicopters owns a modern 20,000 square foot hangar/office facility with three separate classrooms available for private study. Video cassettes are available for student use and most training can be provided on-site saving valuable training time. Fixed-wing training is also available at the airport.

Housing Expenses
London Helicopters does not offer housing for students, but rental apartments are available in the area for $450.00 - $800.00 per month for a one bedroom. Lodging can run from $50.00 to $110.00 for moderate rates. Car rentals are available at any airport.

Payment Terms
Payment is expected after each lesson. We accept cash, personal check, VISA, or MasterCard. A student is not required to purchase a course in advance.

Climate
Florida's nickname is the "Sunshine State". The sun shines nearly 75% of all daylight hours! The maximum average temperature in January is 72 degrees F and in June is 89 degrees F. Flight training is conducted year round, giving students a variety of weather and wind conditions during their training.

Employment Opportunities
If you are considering a career as a helicopter pilot, it will be to your advantage to obtain as much instruction as possible in a helicopter. Most helicopter pilots have trained in an R22 primarily because of the employment opportunities available upon completion of their training. London Helicopters can be helpful in finding you employment or assisting you in accomplishing your goals.
